Laura Mart is a curator at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Her curatorial projects share artistic perspectives and cultural histories that fight back against xenophobia and rethink accepted narratives. She is the curator of Talking Back to Power: Projects by Aram Han Sifuentes, a multi-part exhibition that began in October 2020 with an online presentation of The Official Unofficial Voting Station and will continue in 2021 with a physical installation at the Skirball. She is also the co-curator of the upcoming exhibition, "I'll Have What She's Having": The Jewish Deli. Her past exhibitions include El Sueño Americano / The American Dream: Photographs by Tom Kiefer, Surface Tension by Ken Gonzales Day: Murals, Signs, and Markmaking in L.A., and Another Promised Land: Anita Brenner's Mexico. She holds an MA in Art History from the University of Chicago and a BFA in Printmaking/Drawing and Theater Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
